District 1210 Launches Our Environment – July 2026
To kick start the new Rotary Year, District 1210 clubs are to get involved with the new district theme of “Our Environment”.
One of the major aims of this theme will be to take actions to reduce the use of “single use plastics”.
District will be conducting district wide projects to reduce single use plastic’s and make Rotarians aware of what actions we can all take.
Coincidentally a worldwide organisation the Plastics Free Foundation have launched a major initiative to reduce single use plastics under the banner of Plastics Free July.
If you follow the link https://www.plasticfreejuly.org/ you will find out all about this initiative and it would be excellent if clubs could sign up to take the challenge.
Plastic Free July™ is a shared global movement that helps millions of people reduce plastic waste through simple, everyday choices and be part of the solution to plastic pollution. That way, we can enjoy cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities. Will you join Plastic Free July™ by choosing to refuse single-use plastics?
